Hours after the big reveal!

Barbara paced back and forth, both hands cradling her massive pregnant middle, as Clara laid on a nearby couch. The alien-impregnated crimefighter's skin and hair were stuck in their permanent odd coloring as her new physiology took over in the wake of Sandra's biological attack. With one hand, she took a swig from a large bottle of indigestion medicine while she stroked her belly with the other.

"I hate bein' so nervous," Barbara said in a drawl as she moved around headquarters. "It's like I'm standing outside the delivery room."  There was a long stretch of silence, only broken up by the ambient sound of Erica soldering and moving equipment around. "How do we know Sandra hasn't already launched her plan?"

"I guess we wouldn't know. We're already pregnant, after all, so we wouldn't feel the urge to have babies again," Clara said, slowly sitting up. "And you seem to already have the same baby-making mindset."

Barbara glared at Clara as a small smile broke through. "True," she said with a chuckle. As she turned her head slightly, Barbara caught sight of Sandra's robot and her grin vanished. It was a totally unassuming piece of engineering, like little more than a metal doll with no face, digits, or other distinguishing marks, but Barbara had experienced its power first-hand. Sandra designed this thing with the express purpose of stopping Barbara at the exact limits of her mega-strength and it worked perfectly.

"It creeps me out," Clara said, eyeing the robot herself. "If I could just get my powers back, I would blast it away, but..." She tried to sit up but quickly groaned and gripped her forehead. Clara's bright green belly began to twitch and pulse, with the impressions of kicks disturbing its otherwise smooth surface. She lowered herself back onto the couch and let out an exhausted moan, bringing the medicine bottle back to her lips. "It feels like all the worst pregnancy symptoms are hitting me at once."

"It's fine. I don't know if you'd do any better against this tin man," Barbara pouted, looking it over.

"You think you're stronger than me?" Clara said, smiling at her teammate.

"You think I'm not?" Barbara smiled back, raising an eyebrow.

"You two aren't going to fight, are you?" Erica asked, hurrying over as quickly as she could. Though with her colossal belly and its subsequent weight, it wasn't too fast. She stopped and gripped her knees to pant, with Barbara and Clara side-eyeing each other as she caught her breath.

"Just friendly ribbin', like always," Barbara said.

"I hadn't noticed," Erica said, taking in a big gulp of air as she stood back up.

"I guess we don't spend that much time together outside of work," Clara said, slowly sitting up on the couch.

"A-anyway, I think I may have come up with something for each of you," Erica said, wiping the oil and grease from her hands off on the side of her round stomach. "But...with the time limit in question...I had to go with my first ideas so try to work with me."

"As long as it lets us stop that crazy woman, we'll take it," Clara said, stretching her arms out as a wave of nausea hit her. She was still in the gloves and black full-body outfit of her Miss Mercury costume. Barbara was also in her Lady Liberty uniform but had the mask off for now.

"Yours may take a little more time," Erica said, dragging over one of her contraptions. It was a large metallic spire, about as tall as her own body, with thinner probes sticking out on top. "I had to go into your home and get your alien pod. I hope you don't mind."

"You took the pod?" Clara said, raising her voice before grunting and shifting back in her seat to readjust her pregnant weight. "Then what's this? Can it stop this allergic reaction?"

"No but I think it may be able to find people who can," Erica said, tapping the side. It whirred to life, with blinking lights appearing all over. "It's an antennae, fitting exactly to contact the radio waves of whoever left this pod in the first place. Normally calling out for alien life would take too long, but if it's this precise, the message should reach out more quickly."

"That could still take some time," Barbara sighed. "It's not like UFOs are traveling around here every day."

"Still, it's worth a try because I don't think you'll like my other plan any more," Erica said, giving Barbara a wincing smile.

Barbara crossed her arms and waddled over to Erica, their bellies touching. "What, are you going to have to strip me or something?"

"No," Erica said, her cheeks getting red. "J...just because I find you attractive doesn't mean I'm going out of my way to creep on you. It's hard enough just mustering up the courage to talk with you."

Barbara sighed and smiled softly. "Alright hon, I'm sorry, that was a little harsh. What's the plan?"

"See, I've been studying your file," Erica said, groaning as she swivled her pregnant weight to turn back to the work table. She reached to tap its surface and brought up a 3D projection of Barbara's undetailed nude body.

"Not helping," Barbara huffed.

"It's the only way," Erica said, her blush continuing to grow. "I've been studying the equations Sandra developed to measure your mega-strength to, y'know, see if there's some kind of way around it. We could just wait around for you to get farther along in your pregnancy but I'm sure Sandra planned for that. Besides, by then, her device will already be operational."

"So what have you come up with? Some way to put more babies in my belly?" Barbara chuckled, hands tracing large circles around her popped-out navel. "That'd probably make me stronger, wouldn't it?" Erica's eyes were glued to Barbara's hands, her lips just barely open. "Wouldn't it?"

"O-oh, right, yeah that may work," Erica said, turning back to the computer, "but it's tricky. I don't have the time to build something like that and definitely not enough time to make sure it's safe."

"So what can you do?" Barbara asked, exasperated.

Erica gulped and picked up two white plastic discs, each as thin as a piece of paper. "Based on Sandra's formula, you don't get stronger and more durable just depending on how far along you are. It's a matter of how close to delivery you are." She stuck both discs to the front of Barbara's belly, adjacent to her navel.

"You're right, I don't like where this is going," Barbara said as Erica hovered her hand above the computer display.

"Ready?"

"Ready," Barbara nodded. Erica tapped the screen and instantly Barbara clutched her belly, letting out a loud grunt with a spit. Her muscles all contracted at once as Erica's device simulated labor inside her body.

"How do you feel?" Erica asked sheepishly.

"Not great," Barbara growled, looking up and eyeing the robot. "But I know who I can take this out on." Sensing her attack stance, the robot shifted to intercept but it was hopeless. Lady Liberty darted forward, leaving broken tiles in her wake with each running step, and threw a mid-air punch. The robot caught her fist but its arm was blown away like it was made from cardboard. A moment later, Barbara's tight stomach hit the rest of its body, turning Sandra's line of defense into a pile of scrap.

"We'd better hurry," Erica said, looking up to the ceiling. "Sandra may be ready to launch her mind device now."

"I didn't even know there was a floor above this one," Barbara said through clenched teeth. "How do we get up there?"

Meanwhile, around Epsilon Eridani!

In the vacuum of space, a large freighter drifted through the small system. The two aliens at the helm, both fully clad in protective suits, tapped on their consoles before leaning back in their seats to groan.

[Ah, that's the last of it,] one of the space-faring beings said, its suit translating so the other could understand. [That planet eats up used fuel cells like it's nothing.]

[And in a few decades, we'll have to come back and pick them up,] the other one scoffed, tapping on the controls. [Hopefully my fuckin' pension doesn't get ransacked and I can retire before then.]

[Hey, don't get too down just yet. We've still got more shipments to make,] the first alien said before turning to the blinking panel in front of him. [Wait a sec...I'm getting a message.]

[From where?] its partner said, sitting up in its seat.

[Some planet a few light years away. It's using the same signal we attach to the bio-pods so the clients can find and pick up the offspring they have implanted in healthier species,] it said, turning in its chair. [Hey, don't we have a bunch of bio-pods on here?]

[Yeah, you thinkin' what I'm thinkin'?]

[Let's just ship 'em all there,] the first alien said, starting to tap on the ship's controls. [It'll save us a hell of a lot of time. And they seem to want it, so it's a win-win.] With one last press of a button, the freighter's doors opened on the bilge and a few points of light rocketed off at incredible speeds, projecting their own wormholes to cut down on the journey. [There we go. Now let's get moving. I want to get back before the proboscis massage parlor closes.]

Back on...what's it called? I know it's the third one. Terra? That's not it. Shit, whatever, back on this planet, in the skies above the city, several objects began to appear. Barbara and Erica looked up through the large windows of headquarters just in time to see these objects smash through the glass and crash into the floor. Clara and the couch were in the midst of it all when the pods dug into the metal floor. As they opened, they expelled massive clouds of gas and vapor, blocking the other two crimefighters' line of vision. As they shielded their eyes, noses, and mouths, they saw a silhouette stand up and walk toward them, a large round mass pushing away the fog as it moved.

"Clara?" Barbara said, crouching slightly to bear the discomfort of her labor. "You feeling okay?"

"I feel different, that's for sure," Clara said as she walked out. Her belly had grown immensely, now tearing through her costume so her tight green skin was on full display. Size-wise, she was now nearly as big as Erica, though she did not have quite the same endowments Erica developed from her belt. As she stepped forward, her hands clutched her stomach, which constantly quivered and pulsated as the usual fetal movement inside her womb turned into a mosh pit. "I think I have more than one type of alien in here now and they don't get along."

"Do you still have your powers?" Erica asked. As soon as she said the words, Clara lifted off the ground and hovered in the air, her fists glowing bright emerald.

"Rearing and ready to go," Clara said with a smirk. "Let's go see how the famous Blue Dawn reacts to us showing up." Clara turned and flew out of the shattered window so quickly, there was a burst of wind that dissipated the rest of the alien mist.

"Wait, what about-" Erica started to say before Clara turned around and stood behind the two of them, grabbing the backs of their shirts.

"Sorry, forgot you can't fly now," Clara said with a wink. "Guess I already got used to having you on the team. You need a crimefighting name, by the way."

"Gravid Girl?" Erica offered.

"That's terrible and you know it," Barbara grunted. "Now Merc, if you wouldn't mind."

Clara zoomed back out and spun in the air as she got close to the tower's upper level. With one arm, she tossed Barbara at the outer wall, where the red, white, and blue-clad hero easily punched her way through and got the three of them into Sandra's private lab. Clara and Barbara stood tall, glaring at their former team leader, as Erica struggled to get to her feet, holding onto her massive belly to try and alleviate its weight.

"I had a feeling this might happen," Sandra smiled, raising her goggles as she smiled at the rest of the Fertile Furies. "Clara, look at you! With a tummy like that, we'll have to call you Miss Jupiter!"

"Not the time for jokes," Clara said, eyes starting to glow green. "Besides, I like the alliteration. Isn't that right, Double L?"

"It's catchier," Barbara grunted, her whole body trembling as sweat covered her face. "Now turn this thing off and let's talk."

"You still haven't come around? After I gave you time to think about it?" Sandra said in honest dismay. "What about my plan is so controversial? I just want there to be more people in the world, helping one another and spreading joy from one corner of the globe to the other!"

"This isn't the way to do it," Clara said, lifting her glowing fist at the cornerstone to Sandra's entire scheme. A blast of energy shot out, aimed directly at the crystalline computer in the center, but as soon as it made contact with the red light surrounding the device, it vanished in a flash. Lifting both hands, Clara hit the device with a barrage but every blast was dissipated in an instant.

"I told you that wouldn't work. You all felt the light's effects first-hand, remember?" Sandra said, stepping toward Clara and covering her fists with her own hands. "Now please, both of you, just relax."

Out of the corner of her eyes, Sandra saw Barbara charging at her, a right hook reeled back and ready. "I didn't want it to come to this!" Barbara yelled before punching. Sandra removed one of her hands and put up a glowing energy shield from her gloves, like she used against Siren's brainwashed police. Barbara's fist collided with it, letting out a huge crackle. With two more punches, the shield disintegrated and Sandra was hurrying back to her device with her rocket boots.

"Erica, nicely done!" Sandra said with a big smile. "I can tell you had a hand in this."

"T-thanks," Erica said, hands clung to her belly protectively.

"Don't thank her! She's the one we're fighting!" Barbara barked as a contraction hit.

"I should have listened to your ideas more often," Sandra said, pacing around the pillar containing her brain wave device. "Imagine how much we could have worked on. We could have even worked together on this."

"Or I could have told you this is insane," Erica interjected.

"But among all your inventions, there's one that has caught my attention above all other," Sandra said, reaching behind the column to pick up something and hold it up high: the belt. "This is amazing work."

"Oh no," Clara said, her glowing light getting dimmer. "She's already strong enough. If she puts that on-"

"Let's see what happens," Sandra said, strapping the belt around her own belly and turning the buckle. Instantly, she began to groan and bend over, feeling her skin get tighter and tighter. Her hands tapped the buttons on her hips to keep producing more of the chemicals that made her pregnancy more bearable and increased her own physical ability. The belt stretched and stretched as her swelling belly stuck out farther and farther, eventually surpassing even Erica's size. Sandra stumbled around a bit as her pregnancy grew, finally planting her feet steady as her size started to plateau. Sandra was now more belly than woman, with her skin retaining its perfectly smooth and shiny golden look. Like Erica, her chest and butt grew accordingly, with her Blue Dawn costume one fiber away from ripping apart.

The other three looked on in dismay, both amazed at Sandra's current state of advanced pregnancy and frightened that she may be too much for them to handle now.

"Doesn't change a thing!" Barbara finally grunted, gripping her fists until her gloves started to rip. "Now that I'm in labor, I'm stronger than ever!" She ran forward, swinging her belly back for a push, only to be knocked back by the same move from Sandra. Her glistening round stomach pushed Barbara back like a tennis ball bouncing off of a beach ball. Barbara was unharmed but her belly now hard a large pink mark on it from where she hit Sandra.

"We'll just have to keep trying," Clara said, flying forward. Blue Dawn rose into the air as well, catching Miss Mercury and wrestling with her in mid-air before holding her against the red light surrounding the device. Clara let out a moan and went limp as Sandra lay her down on the floor just outside its perimeter.

"There, just rest," Sandra said in a soft voice. "When you wake up, you'll see how much better my new world will be."

"Not gonna happen!" Barbara barked, lunging at Sandra. As the super scientist tried to fly away, she felt something stop her. She turned to see Clara gripping her ankle, keeping her from getting too far off the ground.

"You'll have to take at least one hit before this is over," Clara said with a weak smile.

"Not likely," Sandra said, tapping one of her gloves' buttons and producing a small metal ring. She tossed it at Barbara as it directed itself onto her incoming fist's wrist. With another tap of a button, Barbara's punch retracted as the ring attached itself to a metal panel on the wall. With a groan, Barbara tried to pull herself free, giving it all her might before ripping her arm from the wall and crushing the ring in the grip of her other hand.

"Magnets and tricks won't stop me," Barbara said, glaring back at Sandra. "I'm a riled up mama bear." But Sandra was already flying over, giving Barbara a kick to the back of the legs to bring her to her knees.

"Come on Barbara. You've actually raised children. You know how much kinder I'm going to make the world," Sandra said, petting Barbara's long blond hair.

"Not if you force people into it," Erica yelled. Sandra turned to see Erica propping up a tripod with a small device that looked like a camera attached. It was a tiny metal box with a frame of a cone sticking out from it. "You're trying to take away people's free will and choice, Dr. Chun. Can't you see that?"

"Erica, what are you doing?" Sandra said in a worried voice as Erica's device began to whir louder and louder.

"This'll make it through that barrier of red light," Erica said, aiming it at the crystal in the center. "I whipped it up using the portal technology you already developed."

"Come on, you don't want to do this," Sandra purred, running her hands all over her breasts and belly. "I'm getting closer to cracking the mysteries of the Belly Belt. When I turn you back into Eric, I'll let you impregnate me personally next time. And all the times after that."

"S-sorry, no," Erica said, her mind temporarily drifting off to a more pleasant scene than what was in front of her now.

"Fine," Sandra said, standing in the path of the transporter with her arms spread open wide. "Then I'll try and stop it with my body."

"Dr. Chun, get out of the way! If you don't move-"

"It's fine," Sandra said with a smile. "It's more important that my dream goes on."

"Sandra, no!" Erica said, running and tackling Sandra to the ground just as the device switched on. A beam of translucent energy shot out of the tripod and passed through the wall of red light, striking the gem. At the same time, the doors to Barbara's closet flew open and the gem shot out of her portal, hitting her bed and shattering. She stayed on the floor, panting so hard she thought her heart would explode, as she held onto Sandra. "G-guess I had a little residual mega-strength in me to help me run with this belly...Sandra?"

Sandra was sobbing, her face in Erica's cleavage. "I just wanted to help people...you know that, don't you?"

Erica sighed and hugged Sandra back. "I know, Sandra, I know." She reached one hand down to the belt buckle and turned it, detaching the belt from Sandra's belly. "But it's all over now."

Later, inside headquarters!

The Fertile Furies' hideout was swarming with police and reporters as Sandra was led away. She'd been changed into a XXXL black tank top and extremely stretchy sweatpants instead of her usual Blue Dawn outfit as her arms were held in large braces that reached up to her elbows.

"Are those really necessary?" Clara asked, standing at the front of the crowd with Erica and Barbara.

"These are the kinds of cuffs we use on villains with mega-strength," one police lieutenant responded. "We even tested them on The Champ and he couldn't break out."

"I'm shocked," Barbara said, rolling her eyes. Erica had removed the pads from her belly and ended her simulated labor, though her fetuses were still awfully active.

"They're right, uncuff her," the lead detective on the scene said. "You're cooperating, aren't you?"

"Yes," Sandra nodded with a weak smile. The cameras surrounding them all began to flash quickly as Sandra was unrestrained.

"Detective, what is going to be done with Blue Dawn now?" one reporter shouted out.

"Seeing how she surrendered to authorities and her long history of service to the community, the district attorney says the office will be lenient on her," the detective said. "Also, we don't fully understand what Dr. Chun was planning on doing or did, though things did get a little...strange for a few seconds down there." Some of the reporters and police, male and female, looked at each other bashfully, tucking in any parts of their clothes still askew.

"Dr. Chun, what are your plans going forward?"

Sandra smiled and looked down at her belly. "I think I'll have a lot of time to think my philosophy toward crimefighting over but I look forward to a chance to come back and help the people of this country and of this world, if they'll have me." As she started to be led away, she looked back at Erica and winked. "Come visit me sometime, okay?"

"I-I promise," Erica nodded as she exited the room.

"Are the Fertile Furies done with?" someone asked the three heroes at the front of the room.

Clara looked at Erica and Barbara before stepping forward. "The loss and betrayal of Blue Dawn is a hard burden for the team but we are committed to continuing our fight against evil and our oath to help the people. And until she serves out her sentence and return, you'll still have the protection of Miss Mercury-"

"Lady Liberty-" Barbara chimed in.

"And Belly Babe," Erica said, "Name subject to change."

The reporters all began to applaud as the three of them smiled and nodded before walking out of the main room to side quarters. "That was one hell of a ride," Barbara said with a big sigh. "Glad it all turned out alright."

"Eh, it usually does," Clara chuckled.

"But I didn't expect to be the smallest of the team so suddenly," Barbara said, patting the top of her belly.

"Maybe you have some advice for us about being so pregnant," Erica said.

Barbara paused before smiling and putting one arm around Erica's shoulder. "Sure, I've gathered more than enough experience on the matter."

"But hopefully I won't need too much of it," Erica said with a nervous laugh. "I've got to keep working on the belt to see if I can reverse this. I found some notes in Sandra's private lab that might-"

An alarm began to sound in the tower as Clara waddled to the nearest computer. "Looks like the Army of Anger has reformed and they're attacking the National Mint. All available crimefighting teams have been asked to help."

Erica sighed, looking down at her belly. "I can work on the belt later. Besides, it's just one more day of being pregnant, right?"
The thrilling conclusion to this story of Erica's struggle to control her new body, her new powers, and new partner. Will Blue Dawn succeed or can the rest of the Fertile Furies stop her pregnancy plan?
